As employers issue return-to-office mandates, employees may be considering whether their new work structures will be deal breakers and where they should go next.

Remote jobs search site Flexjobs found that 63% of workers voted the ability to work remotely as the most important feature of a job, even beating out salary. And yet, 90% of employers plan to bring employees back to the office in some capacity in 2024, according to ResumeBuilder. It's possible mandates will bring reinvigorated movement to the labor market — and Flexjobs has some companies remote jobseekers should check out.

Flexjobs pulled together a list of seven companies that have consistently placed in their ranking of the top 100 remote-friendly companies since 2014. These companies have also offered the most remote jobs in the last decade, proving their commitment to flexibility.

"The majority of people know someone who has quit or plans to quit because of RTO plans," says Keith Spencer, career expert at FlexJobs. "Because remote work is so critical to job seekers, we wanted to provide this list of companies to help workers identify and connect to the employers that have long championed and advocated for remote-friendly careers."

Spencer advises jobseekers to look for companies with clear policies around remote work and flexibility. Any vagueness in the job description or constant changes to their policies could be a red flag.
