Amulet signs up to Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter

EXCLUSIVE: 14% of organisations don't measure employee engagement levelsAmulet, a firm that delivers multi-faceted security solutions to the construction, healthcare and other sectors, has signed up as a supporter of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter.

The voluntary membership and assessment scheme was founded in 2019 as an initiative from the Mayor of Greater Manchester to address and improve workplace employment standards and raise productivity across the region. The aim is to deliver jobs where employees are treated appropriately, offered inclusive opportunities and paid fairly within the Greater Manchester area.

Through the charter’s tiered structure of supporters and members and seven characteristics of good employment that include providing employees with secure work, paying the real living wage and offering wellbeing support, senior leadership at Amulet can learn how to cater its recruitment process to service employee needs to further its aim to support the journey of good employment.

According to the firm, the charter’s commitments to improvement align with its own ongoing dedication to equality, diversity and inclusion in hiring and staff retainment process. It hopes to further enhance its employment standards, elevate all current practices, and help other organisations follow suit in the future.

Kieran Mackie, managing director at Amulet, said: “Our people are at the heart of everything we do at Amulet and that is why it was important for us to support the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter. We want to make Amulet an employer of choice but also elevate the security industry as a whole and make it an attractive career option for the next generation of the workforce. Aligning ourselves with this charter is an important step in that direction.”

Amulet offers its staff benefits including enrolment in the Nest pension scheme and the Wagestream app, training and development opportunities, and an On The Spot scheme that recognises excellent service and outstanding acts, with High Street shopping vouchers and potential submission to the Amulets awards as prizes.
