Activate Group receives living wage employer accreditation

Activate Group living wageAccident management specialist firm Activate Group has received real living wage employer accreditation as part of its commitment to show appreciation and respect for its workforce.

As of this month, Activate Group has committed to pay the real living wage rate of £12 per hour, resulting in its 220 UK team members benefitting from a wage increase. Its aim with the commitment is to set it apart as an employer of choice in the industry in which it operates.

The real living wage is calculated by the Living Wage Foundation and is based on actual living costs. The £12 per hour UK-wide rate, as well as the £13.15 London rate, are both above the £11.44 per hour national living wage, which came into effect last month for workers aged 21 and over.

Danielle Chruszcz, people director at Activate Group, said: “Our team members play a key role in supporting people that have been involved in a road incident, getting them back on the road safely and efficiently. It’s an important job that requires a great deal of empathy and expertise. The care and dedication the team show to our customers plays a huge part in our business success. That’s why I’m so proud that we’ve made this commitment to paying a fair and competitive wage to our people, now and in the future.”

Activate Group offers its employees 33 days of annual leave per year including bank holidays, a health cash plan, life assurance worth three times an employee’s basic salary, enhanced maternity and paternity pay, an annual performance bonus, rewards for being employee of the month, free fruit and breakfast once a week, free cereal and milk daily, a bikes-for-work scheme and birthday gifts.
