National Immunization Awareness Month

August is National Immunization Awareness Month, according to the CDC. This annual observance highlights the importance of vaccination for people of all ages and is just in time for the start of the 2022-2023 school year.

Covered employees and their dependents can move to the head of the class by staying on top of routine childhood vaccinations that are needed for school. Regardless of the student’s age, they can visit an in-network provider or an in-store or walk-in clinic for an annual exam and the vaccines recommended by the CDC.

Employees and dependents covered by a health benefit plan administered by Star Marketing and Administration, Inc., can obtain certain vaccines at no cost when they visit an in-network provider, when applicable.
