AstraZeneca and Novo Nordisk named best places to work for women in 2023

AstraZeneca Novo NordiskBiopharmaceutical firms AstraZeneca and Novo Nordisk have been named among the best places to work for women in 2023 globally.

Best Places to Work, the workplace excellence certification programme, evaluated global organisations based on their policies, practices and benefits that support and empower women in the workforce. The certification underscores the commitment of organisations to gender equity and diversity, the creation of inclusive workplaces that foster professional growth, and the provision of an environment where women can thrive and succeed.

AstraZeneca secured the top spot due to its dedication to gender equity that is reflected in its comprehensive programmes that promote diversity and inclusion, as well as its provision of equal opportunities for career advancement and a workplace where women can excel.

Novo Nordisk took the second position as a result of its commitment to fostering a workplace that values and supports women. Its initiatives, which include mentorship programmes, highlight its dedication to empowering women at all stages of their careers.

Business services and customer experience firm Concentrix and Webhelp ranked third due to its collaborative efforts that have resulted in progressive policies and mentorship programmes.

Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts secured fourth position due to its commitment to providing a welcoming and empowering environment for women in the hospitality industry, its policies that promote work-life balance and professional growth opportunities to enable gender equality.

Rounding out the top five is outsourcing and contact centre services provider Konecta, which created an inclusive workplace, policies that ensure fair representation, equal pay, and avenues for career advancement.
