Enfinium enhances maternity leave and pay

Enfinium Energy from waste business Enfinium has launched enhanced maternity policies to coincide with International Women’s Day (Wednesday 8 March).

The policies, which form part of its equality, diversity and inclusion strategy, include up to nine months of fully paid maternity leave across the organisation, with members of staff who have been with more than three years’ tenure receiving 39 weeks of full pay. Those with at least 12 months of service will be entitled to 26 weeks of full pay.

Mike Maudsley, chief executive officer at Enfinium, said: “Our aim is to make Enfinium a great place to work for women, one that is inclusive and progressive because we know that diverse teams perform better. We also know that enhanced maternity policies are proven to create and retain happier and more productive workforces.

“Coinciding with International Women’s Day, I am delighted to announce these changes to our family support policies, which will put Enfinium at the forefront of industry in the UK, reflecting our ongoing commitment to building a more diverse workplace.”

To further underline its commitment to International Women’s Day, Enfinium made a £1,000 donation to Young Women’s Trust, which helps and supports young women aged 18 to 30 to build skills and mental health resilience, and to open up future opportunities with its free ‘Work It Out’ service.

The business also offers its workforce private medical care with Vitality, private dental care, life assurance, a pension with a 6% employer contribution, high street discounts through Perkbox, a cycle-to-work scheme, and an employee assistance programme (EAP).
