Exclusive: Adecco Group to speak at Employee Benefits Live 2023

government menopause championHelen Tomlinson, head of talent UK and Ireland at The Adecco Group and government menopause employment champion, will delievr a session on women’s health at Employee Benefits Live 2023.

Titled Women’s health in the workplace – A predictor of career potential, the session, which will take place on Tuesday 3 October at 2.30pm, will focus on the importance of wellbeing awareness in the female lifecycle, how girls in sports can shape women in leadership, and how to support women’s health in the workplace.

Tomlinson will share practical learnings from her own experiences at Adecco Group and as menopause champion, and discuss ways in which to develop and support health and wellbeing in the workplace.

“Not having a women’s health strategy in an organisation might put the female workforce at risk,” she said. “The earlier we encourage girls to have an active lifestyle, the higher the chances that they will prioritise wellbeing and self-care in their future careers. By getting girls active at an early stage and supporting their endeavours, we create a more inclusive and healthier corporate landscape for future women in C-level positions.”

She hopes delegates attending the session will take away the idea that a good intervention should consider all women’s unique health needs, such as menstruation, fertility, pregnancy loss and menopause, and their impact in professional settings.

Tomlinson is the UK’s first-ever menopause champion and works alongside the Department for Work and Pensions, helping employers develop policies that empower women experiencing menopause to stay and progress in work.

Employee Benefits Live 2023 will take place on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 October 2023 at ExCeL London.
