Benedict Gautrey, managing director of Great Place to Work UK, said: “At the heart of every organisation are its people and looking after their wellbeing should be much more than a package of impressive perks on a careers website.

“We know when employees feel genuinely contented and at ease within their roles, they are much more engaged and productive. Now in our second year of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing list, we’re once again able to showcase the leading organisations providing cultures conducive to outstanding psychological, physical and social wellbeing.”

Rhian Langham, head of people at Admiral, which was 14th on the super large employers list, said: “We continuously evolve our wellbeing offerings and we’ve seen a great variety of activities take place over the last year. From engaging online support and our employee assistance programme, to sharing lived staff experiences, mindfulness sessions and physical health initiatives.”

Ivan Lloyd, chief executive officer (CEO) at Edison365, said: “The wellbeing of the team and the success of Edison365 go hand in hand. Our whole organisation is passionate about championing new ways of working and moving away from the status quo to make Edison365 a place where people can achieve a true work-life balance and maintain their wellbeing.

Joanna Swash, group CEO at Moneypenny, which was 51st on the large employers list, said: “From day one, Moneypenny has always placed people at the heart of everything we do, and we are delighted that our people feel valued. We strongly believe that happy people equate to happy clients and that our people will thrive if we create a safe and nurturing environment for them.”

Lucy Becque, chief people officer at Coventry Building Society, which was 27th on the super large employers list, said: “Our people are at the heart of our organisation. We listen, we evaluate, and we tailor our wellbeing programme to make sure it reflects what our colleagues need in the moments that matter.

“Whether it’s helping balance working life, support for better sleeping, looking after mental health or giving top tips on managing money – there’s something for everyone and we’re delighted that we can celebrate wellbeing in this way.”

Last year, the society was also named as the one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women by Great Place to Work and ranked 14th out of the 39 Super Large organisations on the list.
