The 41st Annual Payroll Congress has come and gone, but with PayrollOrg’s Virtual Congress & Expo 2023, the educational workshops, networking, and Expo opportunities continue.

Set for June 21-22, Virtual Congress is an online experience that offers opportunities to engage with fellow payroll professionals and industry expert service providers and take part in some exciting educational workshops.

This year’s Virtual Congress & Expo includes:

  • 12 unique workshops, offered live and on-demand
  • Interactive virtual networking in the Expo and Networking Lounge
  • Up to 14 RCHs for attending the live and on-demand events

“I wish I could attend more sessions at Payroll Congress, but I find the virtual option allows me to be able to do this,” Christena Verrill, Payroll Manager at L.L. Bean, said after last year’s Virtual Congress. “I was able to attend a session I could not attend during Payroll Congress. What a great value and I love the extra opportunity to broaden my knowledge and keep up to date with any changes that come up during the year.”

Engaging Virtual Education

There are a variety of engaging workshops available throughout the two days of Virtual Congress.

There will be a Thought Leadership workshop: “Financial Wellbeing: Payment Trends and the Future of Pay,” presented by George Mavrantzas, VP of Strategy and Thought Leadership at Wisely® by ADP. The workshop will explore how to embrace the future of pay so organizations can be ready to meet the evolving needs of today’s workforce, thus helping employees to get the most out of their pay.

There will also be two General Session keynote speakers:

  1. Bill Stainton, CSP, CPAE, presenting “Crunch Time: Producing Under Pressure,” sponsored by rapid!
  2. Karen Allen presenting “Stop and Shift: The Mindset Reset That Changes Everything”

Other Virtual Congress workshops will include:

  • “Dealing With Complex Union Payrolls”
  • “Get a Seat at the Table”
  • “Local Taxes—Ohio and Pennsylvania”
  • “Analytics: Improving Your Payroll Operation and Processes”
  • “The Fundamentals for International Payroll”

“No matter how long you’ve been in payroll, there is always so much to learn,” notes Virtual Congress attendee Connie Lee, CPP, Regional Payroll Director at CoorsTek.

An exciting new addition for Virtual Congress this year is the option of closed captioning that will be available in 26 different languages. Attendees will also be able to use fun, live emojis in their chats this year.

On-demand access to the conference will be available until September 20. Virtual Congress & Expo is included in your all-access Payroll Congress registration. If you couldn’t attend Payroll Congress, you can still register to attend the 2023 Virtual Congress & Expo.
