Jewellery business Pandora has increased hourly pay for its UK and Ireland retail employees by up to 14% as part of its third pay review in the last 12 months.
As of this month (April), sales assistants in London now received £11.95 an hour, while sales assistant employees across the rest of the UK can earn up to £10.90 per hour. Over the past year, their pay has risen by 10% and 14% respectively.
Irish retail employees received a 12% pay increase to €13.85 (£12.26), while store management employees also saw an average 12% rise.
Pandora has additionally introduced new minimum pay levels, a new monthly bonus incentive for all store employees, including sales assistants and regional sales managers, a personal allowance of up to £500 for own-brand jewellery, and an opportunity to win a team holiday to Thailand, where its crafting facilities are based, at the end of this year.
According to the business, these changes are part of its ongoing efforts to invest in and support its 2,400 customer-facing employees, who play a crucial role in its success.
