There’s plenty of reason to celebrate the official rebranding of the American Payroll Association (APA) and the Global Payroll Management Institute (GPMI) under the new PayrollOrg (PAYO) brand, but we all know a celebration isn’t a celebration without a song.

Leave it to Pegine—a renowned workshop presenter for PayrollOrg—to not only find the right words, but the perfect happy melody.

“PAYO,” the new song written and produced by Pegine for PayrollOrg, is a celebratory parody tune that captures the spirit of the coming together of APA and GPMI under the global PayrollOrg banner.

Pegine brings her creativity and innovation to the table with this upbeat and catchy song. Many don’t know that the fiery motivational speaker loves writing lyrics and producing songs, so it’s not a surprise when a tune literally pops into her head. In fact, that’s what happened when she learned about the organization’s rebranding efforts.

I was reading the announcement about the rebranding,” Pegine said. “As I read it, the chant ‘PAY-O, PAY-AY-AY-O’ filled my soul, so I started coming up with words using the press release.”

Motivated by her creation, Pegine said she called PayrollOrg’s Senior Director of Education Services Dan Dycus, CPP, for his opinion, and to sing him the song that was still bouncing around in her head. Pegine said Dycus’ reaction didn’t surprise her.

“He laughed,” she said.

After the call, Pegine had a brilliant idea: "What if I wrote the song, created the video, and surprised the team [PAYO]?"

The song was not only a surprise, but a huge hit with PAYO staff members and leadership.

“For the last four years, Pegine has been a shining light of inspiration for our members attending Payroll MicrosoftTeams-image (29)ongress,” said PayrollOrg Executive Director Dan Maddux. “Her leadership classes have motivated hundreds of payroll professionals to do and be their best impacting the world of payroll, and to have fun doing it. Her gift of the PAYO Parody is a fitting tribute to what we are accomplishing with our rebrand, while simultaneously injecting fun into the equation.”

The song's lyrics highlight the significance of globalization and how the newly formed PayrollOrg is well positioned to cater to the growing needs of multinational and international customers. Pegine's use of humor and satire adds a fun twist to the announcement, making it an enjoyable experience for listeners.

Pegine's bio speaks volumes about her creativity and her ability to connect with audiences through her work. With over four years of experience as a leadership speaker for PayrollOrg, Pegine is well-versed in the needs and expectations of the organization's customers. The song's message aligns perfectly with PayrollOrg's tagline, "The Leader in Payroll Education," and it's sure to become a beloved anthem for the organization.

If you're looking for a fun and engaging way to celebrate PayrollOrg, look no further than “PAYO,” the newest song from Pegine.

“I am so excited,” said Pegine. “People love it!”
