PayrollOrg is pleased to announce that Ronald Gilson, CPP, was selected to serve on the IRS’s Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee (ETAAC). Gilson is a PayrollOrg Vice President and co-chair of the Government Relations Task Force (GRTF) Electronic Payments Subcommittee. He will serve on ETAAC for three years beginning this month [IR-2023-175, 9-19-23].

The ETAAC was established by Congress through the IRS Restructuring and Reform Act of 1998 to provide continuing public input into the development and implementation of the IRS organizational strategy for electronic tax administration. Topics of discussion have included the IRS’s electronic filing systems, cybersecurity, and refund fraud.

Gilson is co-owner of Krkcr Inc. in Springville, Utah, and is experienced in payroll management and project administration, implementation of software systems, electronic file creation, and customer account management. Throughout his career, he has created scheduling models and workflows for implementation of new software and database platforms. Gilson also has managed the filing of federal and state tax forms and payments with a keen understanding of risks and the need to ensure smooth implementation.

“Ronn would be a great addition to the IRS’s ETAAC sharing his knowledge of electronic systems and services, understanding of federal and state taxes, and in using his skills to listen to others,” said PayrollOrg Government Relations Director Alice P. Jacobsohn, Esq.

Gilson is a teacher both in his career and as a volunteer at PayrollOrg. In his work, he is responsible for training in payroll and human resources. He is an instructor in the National Speakers Bureau participating in PayrollOrg’s extensive education program to help payroll professionals grow their careers.
