Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) passed early in 2020 enacted a temporary Paid Leave Act (EPSL) as an extension of the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). You can still receive the Tax Credit as it applies, but it remains with only two weeks of paid leave through both years.

If your business hires employees, you will need to file an employer status report for unemployment compensation with the Connecticut Department of Labor , register for the Connecticut Paid Leave program and have workers’ compensation insurance. The state leaves contractor licensing up to city and municipal jurisdictions.
