New research by CIPHR suggests that most workers are likely to underestimate their employer’s gender pay gap. Despite most British workers (96%) agreeing that the UK has a gender pay gap, as many as 57% don’t believe there are any gender pay disparities in their own workplaces, new research finds.

Rising inflation may widen the UK’s gender pay gap

In a recent study by HR and payroll software provider CIPHR into pay rises in the UK, it was revealed that women were less likely than men to have been awarded a salary increase that was in line with or above the rate of inflation for 2022 (14% compared to 22% respectively). Just a third (32%) of the men who received a pay rise said the same.
