Although 2022 has just begun, the employment scene in NYC is already hot. In December 2021, the city council passed a law requiring employers to indicate a minimum and maximum salary on job postings and advertisements. Employers will need to indicate the salary ranges on new jobs, transfer opportunities, and internal promotions.

Employers will be allowed to use nondiscretionary bonuses and incentive payments (including commissions) to satisfy up to 10 percent of the new salary threshold. In case you missed it, here’s a short summary of the ruling : The Department of Labor has set the new standard salary level at $913 per week or $47,476 annually.
