The employment laws in Bermuda are governed by the Employment Act 2000. The Employment (Wage Commission) Act came into being on 30 July 2019. Its main purpose was to determine the minimum wage per hour (gross pay) and a living wage (the minimum amount of money needed to hire an employee to ensure a good standard of living).
