Lending platform Funding Circle has signed the Miscarriage Association’s pregnancy loss pledge in order to support its staff through miscarriage. Last year, Funding Circle launched its parental bereavement policy, offering additional paid time off to recover for birth parents and partners.

However, not every pregnancy and birth goes as parents envision. For some families, however, their journey ends during pregnancy or birth, with one in four pregnancies in the UK ending in loss. As a result, those that experience an early pregnancy loss may not feel comfortable sharing this with their employer.
