The majority (87%) of organisations have been approached by an employee in the past 12 months to discuss concerns relating to their wellbeing, according to new research from Mintago. The fintech startup surveyed 503 senior managers within UK-based organisations in both the public and private sector, and found that mental health (48%), job satisfaction (43%) and financial wellbeing (40%) were the most prevalent concerns that employees spoke to their managers about.

88% experiencing more symptoms of burnout

Almost nine in 10 (88%) Britons are experiencing more burnout symptoms than usual, according to research by Cigna Healthcare. Its 2023 Vitality study , which surveyed 10,800 respondents in the US, UK, Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Kenya, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, China, Singapore, and the Hong Kong SAR, also found that half (49%) of respondents cited the ongoing cost-of-living crisis as the largest cause of stress, followed by personal finance (38%).
