Marketing VP Brian Hall was certain AWS would not enforce the restrictive covenant for a marketing role, but Amazon had other plans. They stated that the non-compete agreement was necessary as Hall couldn’t market Google products without drawing on proprietary information used to develop AWS’ product roadmap in 2020, as per CNBC.

39% of working parents want workplace mental health support

Two in five (39%) working parents of children under 18 would like mental health support in the workplace, according to new research from Working Families and Bright Horizons. The findings, released to coincide with National Work Life Week (2-6 October), revealed that 89% of working parents believe access to flexible working arrangements has or would have a positive effect on their wellbeing, while 37% said subsidised childcare or back-up care was important.
